21st Century

Enterprise Skills

Students’ capacity is developed across the eight enterprise skills of problem solving, communication, digital literacy, team work, presentation, critical thinking, financial literacy and creativity.

Activities are integrated across our curriculum and co-curricular programs to build students’ capacity in each area and the skills are explicitly referenced to build awareness and understanding.  Year 9 physical education students develop communication and teamwork skills through their SEPEP units.  Financial literacy and presentation are key to the Year 10 business and civics program.  Problem solving and creativity are fostered in Year 8 maths.  Year 7 students develop digital literacy through technology and science programs.  Working in partnership with FYA, our Year 9 and 10 programs connect the knowledge and skills of traditional domains explicitly to the enterprise skills our students need.
